What is this "Security Passphrase"?

The Security Passphrase, in conjunction with a reservation number, allows you to check the status of your reservation and make payments towards your balance.

You will receive a reservation number after submitting your application. If you forget your passphrase, you will need to call Group Sales to verify your identity and have it reset.

How much / when am I charged?

If Athenaeum Hotel Sales agents approve your reservation, your card will be charged the full amount due for your reservation.

If you are placed on a waiting list, your card will not be charged. If a room becomes available, we will reach out to you to confirm if you would like to continue. If you choose to move forward with registration, your card will be charged the full amount due at that time.

You may also see a temporary $1 charge after submitting your reservation. This is done by our payment processor to verify your card. The charge will be refunded.
